Allen Ray White - May 23, 1952 - Oct.2, 2015

Allen Ray White was born in Wenatchee, Washington on May 23, 1952 to Doris and Charles White. Allen had a brother, David, and a sister, Sandra.

Allen grew up in Willowcreek and Vale Oregon.  Allen attended Willowcreek Grade School and graduated from Vale High School in 1970.  Allen and his wife Cindy knew each other in High School, but did not start dating until May 1971.  Allen and Cindy were married on July 24, 1971.

Allen leaves behind his wife, Cindy White; their oldest daughter and her family; Melissa, Joe, Isabel and Rhys Brooks; their son Matthew, and his family Laura, Zoe, Will White and Brandon Thomas; their youngest daughter Laura and her family, Matt, Vivian and Spencer Carroll.

Allen taught his family to think and react in a reasonable manner, to behave responsibly, to hunt, fish, to run equipment, to have a strong work ethic, and that an education is necessary to have a good life.

Allen felt it was important to pass on everything he had learned throughout his life to his family. He knew that this would be his legacy to his children and grandchildren.

We will remember him as a loving, kind and generous husband, father, grandfather and friend; a mentor and someone whom we could always count on and trust to take care of all of us. Our lives will be forever changed by his death but we will remember and continue to move forward as a loving family, using his example of kindness, love and generosity as a legacy for all of us.

Funeral services will be held on Friday October 9th at 11AM in the Lienkaemper Chapel; 222 Yakima Street S Vale, Oregon.
