LaVonne Violet Evins (Shaw) - Class Of 1955

Sept. 10, 1938 ~ Jun. 24, 2018

LaVonne Violet Evins Shaw, 79, of New Plymouth, Idaho, passed away on Sunday, June 24.

LaVonne was born in Helena, Montana, to Zeb and Vi Evins on September 10, 1938. She went to high school in Vale, Oregon, and loved attending her class reunions. She was well known throughout the valley for her cakes by LaVonne. She took pride in her special designs as per request. LaVonne was a lover of simple things and she saw God’s beauty in everything.

She enjoyed being outdoors and with her family. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, stain glass, painting, embroidery, and quilting, to name a few. She made it a priority that all grandkids and great kids all had a special item made by GG. LaVonne received several awards for her cakes, quilting and embroidery.

LaVonne is survived by her children and grandchildren, Debbie (Neal) Durham from Ontario, and Niki and Casey, Donita (Stan) Flowers from Fruitland, Idaho, and Katia, Tyrel, Keisha and Keoni, Leana (Scott) Lively from Nampa, Idaho, and Jake and Zack, and Keith (Kim) Shaw from Everett, Washington, and Justin and Sara. She also has numerous great-grandchildren who were her pride and joy.

She is survived by her sister JoAnn (Ellis) Boyd of Phoenix Arizona.

She is preceded in death by her brothers, Glen and Billy Evins, and her parents, Zeb and Vi Evins.

Funeral service will be held at Park Community Church, 201 Holly Road, Ontario, at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 30. LaVonne’s request was for family and friends to enjoy a potluck dinner after the service at Park Community Church. Family will provide chicken, drinks and dessert. Please stay and join us.

Following dinner, LaVonne’s wish was for a graveside burial at sunset. Guests are welcome to join us at Rosedale Cemetery, 840 6th Ave. South, Payette, Idaho.

Special thanks to Justine for her special love and care.
