Jean Terese (Coleman) Essex - Aug. 12, 1926 - Oct. 20, 2019

Jean Terese (Coleman) Essex, 93 years old, passed away October 20, 2019.

Jeanie was born August 12, 1926 in Ontario, Oregon to James and Louise Coleman. She grew up in Brogan and Jamieson, where her dad had a farm and the Jamieson Country Store. As a teenager she attended St. Theresa’s Boarding School in Boise, Idaho then graduated from Vale High School.

Jeanie was married to Jack Lewis Stubbs. They had three children. Later she married Vernon Essex. They lived in Payette, Idaho until she retired to Pioneer Place assisted living.

She was preceded in death by her husband Vernon, sister Margaret Hutchinson, and parents James and Louise Coleman. She is survived by daughter Jackie Larson, sons Douglas (Tomasa) and Jeffrey (Debby) Stubbs, seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

A funeral mass was held at St. Patrick’s in Vale on October 26, 2019 and burial was at Riverside Cemetery in Payette on November 1, 2019.

The family would like to thank St. Patrick’s church for assisting with lunch and all those that helped and attended her memorial. Also thanks to the staff at Pioneer Place and the Heart and Home Hospice team.

Words are not enough for the appreciation Jeanie’s family has for the many friends and visitors that supported her these past few years. She was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother and left us with great memories.
