Jerry Robert Pappe SEPT. 2, 1933 - MARCH 2, 2023

Jerry Pappe was born in Oklahoma on September 2, 1933. He was the youngest of five children, Joe, Phil, George and Margaret Tiffany. The family left Oklahoma in 1937 during the dust bowl.

The family settled in Jamieson, OR converting 160 of sage brush to farm ground. Jerry graduated from Vale high school in 1952 and joined the army with his buddy Ray Barnes. After his four years of active duty he became an aircraft mechanic and flight engineer like his older brother Phil. Jerry worked for several airlines and retired from World Airlines in 2001. His favorite aircraft was the Boeing 707.

There will be a celebration of life at the Catholic Church in Malin, OR later this spring.
